Before having children, I envisioned the type of mom I’d be when it came time to meal time. I’d make my baby food from scratch, using only organic ingredients or vegetables plucked from my garden. Well, flash forward two and a half years, here I am with two, soon to be three kids under three and time is a resource I simply don’t have enough of.

As a mom, there are a number of compromises I’ve had to make when it comes to raising my kids, but time spent with my little ones isn’t one of them. Free time doesn’t really exist. As a working mom, every minute spent with my kiddos is beyond precious. While I always want what’s best for them, I’ve decided that making their food from scratch isn’t a luxury I have. Instead, I turn to quality products with natural ingredients. Yes, ingredients from nature, not those manufactured in labs.

In my search for quality, I came across an opportunity to partner with Beech-Nut Naturals where we were able to try their line of natural and organic baby foods. What I love is that I can read every ingredient on the label, just pineapples, apples and avocado in the Pineapple, Apple, Avocado jar. What my kids loved was how great they tasted.  The products are 100% natural, made from fresh ingredients, not those made in factories. They’re puréed cold to protect the flavor and nutrients and gently cooked with indirect heat. The result, well, I have my kids begging for more once the jar is finished.

For my big guy, I thought it would be fun to sneak some veggies into some of his favorite dishes. The kid who at one point ate everything now runs from vegetables. My solution, mixing in some purées to spaghetti sauce or macaroni and cheese so he can’t tell he’s eating the good stuff. He’s now asking for seconds!

I am completely “that mom” when it comes to what I feed my kids, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am so happy I had the opportunity to try Beech-Nut and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for high quality baby food that doesn’t break the bank.
